I've been reading Beatrice Bruteau's Radical Optimism (which I think you'd really enjoy) and have been inspired by her reflections on the urgency of contemplation, which allows us to interrogate our assumptions about the systems of the world, such as where power resides. It's such a paradoxical practice and so needed.
I'll look for that book, Lauren. And agreed about contemplation! I am just starting Bruno Barnhardt's Second Simplicity. Hoping it's a deep dive into contemplative life.
